DL 50 Engine Warranty Information
USA -
Greetings all,
There is most definitely a manufacturer’s warranty on the DL50 engine, which
is for a period of one year, and covers any manufacturing defects on the
complete engine assembly. It is excellently supported by the manufacturer
through the bona fide US based dealer of their engines, DLUSA. Chinese market
engines which are bought by others and sold as if they were US market engines do
not share this warranty.
With this factory warranty support, I have replaced pistons, piston rings,
cylinders, exhausts, crank shafts, gasket sets, carburetors and ignition
systems; all at no cost to the customer. I have even assisted several
individuals with their engines when they were abandoned by their seller although
since I warn of the lack of support from other sellers, this hardly makes any
sense nor can I promise to do so in the future.
I am very happy to provide this warranty support to our customers because all of
the parts for it are provided for by the manufacturer; none of them come out of
my pocket as it would if other sellers provided equivalent coverage.
Please feel free to contact me directly ( support@dlusa.net
or 972-869-9313 ) if you have any warranty or other questions about DL engines.

Australia -
Not speaking on behalf of either of the USA distribs, but for the record here
at DL Engines Australia, we provide 12 Months Warranty.
In summary our warranty covers all standard parts including ignition, and covers
all faults caused by manufacturing fault/s.
We obviously do not provide warranty for crash damage/abuse/poor tuning etc. If
the fault just requires a simple user replaceable part we will send out part
free of charge during the 12 month period with proof of the fault, and copies of
receipt/serial # and warranty card we issue. If the fault requires us to
see/repair the engine, the end user needs to pay for shipping to get the motor
to us, and we will ship it back at our cost in Australia if the fault is a valid
warranty claim.
Our warranty is provided by us, not the factory (though they will replace parts
for us if we give them evidence of the fault on new engines/parts)
The might be leeway either way depending on the claim, we are flexible where
possible and any claim is dealt with on a case by case basis. Though thankfully
to date we have had very very few issues as we check out the engines well before
a customer gets it.
Cheers
Scott
