DX7 Throttle "KILL"
Not in there. Can't be done, at least if operated by a switch, without using a mix.
Throttle EXPONENTIAL also is "Not in There". Get over it.
Personally, I'm using a mix of THRO > THRO, on FLAP 2 position Switch, "ON" at full throttle, is about 100%, low is - 25% (have to set that with the offset at ZERO). THEN, set offset to get it where you want it.
When I flip the FLAP switch, it operates the throttle servo below "low Trim", which on my gassers is "cutoff".
This is NOT the same as a separate "kill switch" (I have THAT setup in the Gear channel).
It will take some playing with your own setup, but this works.
DO NOT FORGET TO *BIND* the system after making these adjustments. You'll be sorry if you don't!
My "other" kill switch is simply a Hitec 55 servo with a Tamiya Lever microswitch (both from Tower, cheap), where the NC contacts of the switch are connected to the negative wire in a short male/female servo lead. Cut the negative wire, connect both ends to the switch C (common) and the NC (normal Closed) terminals, then sand, clean, and glue the plastic switch to the plastic servo case. You want it setup so the servo arm pushes the lever DOWN when operated, thus OPENING the negative power lead.
Plug the ignition battery into one end, the other to the normal ignition switch. To kill the motor, simply toggle the "Gear" switch (in my case; you can use any channel you want), operating the lever switch. Click. It's dead. [Don't forget to return the switch to NORMAL; you could spend a LOT of energy trying to restart a motor if you didn't]
Crude looking, but gets the job done, and makes it EASY for me to see what's
happening.
